(IF THIS GENTILE HAD ONLY KNOWN THE TORAH HE WOULD NOT HAVE FAILED)!

(Balaam Prayed Amiss:‘A GENTILE WHO KNEW THE VOICE OF GOD, BUT DIDN’T KNOW THE TORAH!’)

(James 4:2-4)-(YOU PRAY AMISS)

‘You lust and do Not Have. You murder and covet and Cannot Obtain. You fight and war. Yet you Do Not Have because you Do Not Ask (PRAY). 3 You ask (PRAY) and Do Not Receive, because you ASK (PRAY) AMISS, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is Enmity with God?.’

(IF THIS GENTILE HAD ONLY KNOWN THE TORAH HE WOULD NOT HAVE FAILED)

In this Torah Portion, it records many conversation Balaam has with The LORD and The LORD has with Balaam, which proves that Balaam could hear and understand The Voice of God, but He Failed because this spiritual Gentile DID NOT Know THE TORAH, and because of his Lack of Knowledge, it caused him to pray for something that was Forbidden By God and Written Down In The Torah. If this seemly spiritual Gentile had known that God had Beforehand said in The Torah: ‘I Will CurseThose Who Curse You (Israel)’, he wouldn’t even have Prayed to ask if God would let him ‘CURSE ISRAEL’ in the first place!

How often does this happen today? How many seemingly spiritual Gentiles who are sensitive to The Voice God, pray for things that God Has Already Deemed Beforehand As Forbidden and Already Written Down In The Torah! If that’s True, And It Is, Wouldn’t That Be called: ‘Praying Amiss’? It Makes Life Much Easier To Know God’s Eternal, Unchanging Will Before We Go To Him In Prayer! HE WILL NEVER CHANGE ‘HIS WORD’ NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE ASK HIM TO CHANGE HIS MIND, JUST THIS ONE TIME! (HE IS FAITHFUL)!

Balaam is a Gentile prophet of sorts "from Pethor of Mesopotamia" (Deuteronomy 23:4).According to The Sages and the Apostolic Scriptures, Balaam was Wicked through and through. Though he may seem at times to be a godly and well-meaning person, only speaking what the Lord puts into his mouth, we should not allow his ‘Fake Spirituality To Deceive Us By His SIGNS and WONDERS’. When he set out, he had every intention of Cursing Israel, and he did his best to do so. In Rabbinic Literature, Balaam is described as a ‘prophet of The Gentiles.’

But that's not exactly correct. Though he was certainly a prophet, the Bible refers to him as a ’Diviner’, i.e. ‘One Who Uses Magic And Reads Omens And Signs’! This was Not a man of God. He was a ‘Sorcerer For Hire.’

As the reader, and ‘One Who Studies God’s Torah’, we are meant to hear the irony in Balak's confidence. We already know that Israel is under ‘The Blessing God Gave To Abraham’:

(Genesis 12:2-3)

‘I will make you agreat nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and ‘I Will Bless Those Who Bless You’, and The One Who Curses You I Will Curse.’

(Hosea 14:2)-(A Call To Return To Biblical Prayer)

‘Take Words With You, And Return To The Lord. Say to Him: (A Call To Return To Biblical Prayer):"Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.’

Hosea pleaded with Israel at the time when the northern kingdom had ‘Fallen Into APOSTASY’ and were ‘Worshiping False gods’. Their sacrifices to God were meaningless because of their unfaithfulness. Hosea explains that the solution was not to offer more empty sacrifices. Rather, he says, “I desire Covenant Devotion rather than sacrifices, and the knowledge of God (TORAH) more than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6). Hosea’s desire was for the people to ‘Repent By Turning To God With Biblical Prayer and Changing Their Ways.’

Let’s not take the simplicity of this opportunity lightly. When we draw near in Prayer as disciples of Jesus of Nazareth, we capture the attention of the infinite, all-powerful Being who created us, chose us, and loves us.
