(BEING SPIRIT FILLED: ‘DO WE HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN FOLLOWING THE ‘SPIRIT’ or FOLLOWING ‘THE TORAH’? NOT ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE!’)

What is the relationship between the Holy Spirit and the Torah? Do these concepts work together? Or are they at odds with one another?

In today’s modern image of Christianity, it’s taught that ‘The Holy Spirit’ is understood as replacing the role of ‘The Torah’. But according to The Biblical Prophets, they spoke of a day (THE FULLNESS OF PENTECOST), when ‘The Torah and Spirit’ would work together to further grow The Kingdom of God: '⁣Those Who Worship Him Must Worship In SPIRIT and TRUTH (John 4:24)'! This is consistent with The Prophet Ezekiel:

(Ezekiel 36:26-27):

" I will give you a ‘NEW HEART and PUT A NEW SPIRIT WITHIN YOU (BORN AGAIN); I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will ‘PUT MY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU’ (HOLYSPIRIT) and ‘CAUSE YOU TO WALK IN MY STATUES, AND YOU WILL KEEP MY JUDGMENTS AND DO THEM:" (SPIRIT LED PEOPLE WILL HAVE A DESIRE TO OBEY TORAH).

Ezekiel envisions The Spirit Empowering Born Again Believers to be ‘TORAH OBSERVANT’, not setting‘CHRISTIANS FREE FROM IT!’ In the Prophets’ minds, the Spirit of God should ‘LEAD TO MORE TORAH, NOT LESS OF IT’!

Shavuot—or the Feast of Weeks—is a Biblical Holiday, celebrated this Sunday May 16 on the Gregorian calendar. The Holiday has both an Agricultural and Biblical significance. Agriculturally, it marks ‘The End of The Barley Harvest And The Beginning Of The Wheat Harvest. Biblically, it commemorates The Day God Gave The Torah on Mount Sinai.

The Pentecost-Miracles that accompanied the Holy Spirit in Acts 2, were shadowed by the giving of ‘The Torah at Sinai. The mighty wind, the tongues of fire, and the speaking in other languages commemorate The 1ST Pentecost (Shavuot). Just as Passover memorializes the Exodus from Egypt, Shavuot/Pentecost memorializes‘The Giving of The Torah at Mount Sinai’. The Sages Of Israel regards it as The Anniversary of The Day on which God Descended Onto Sinai and Spoke The Ten Commandments. For that reason, Shavuot/Pentecost is called The Festival of: ‘MATTON TORAH’ (מתן תורה), the “GIVING OF THE TORAH.”

The disciples and followers of Jesus experienced ‘The Day of Shavuot/Pentecost as a ‘2nd Giving Of The Torah’. They knew the teaching about the words of fire dividing into 70 languages as they left the mouth of God. They knew the story of God’s voice speaking to all mankind in every tongue. Those ancient teachings gave significance to the miracles, signs, and wonders that they experienced on Shavuot/Pentecost, the anniversary of ‘The Giving Of The Torah. The tongues of fire and utterances in every tongue pointed directly back to the experience at Mount Sinai, and they underscored a connection between ‘GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT and HIS HOLY TORAH’, where ‘THE ONE SUPPORTS THE OTHER, NOT THE ONE CANCELING OUT THE OTHER’!
