**(PT. 2 Of This 5 PT.SERIES, IS DEDICATED TO: ‘WHO IS DANIEL and HOW DO TRUE PROPHETS SEE FUTURE EVENTS?’)**

(BIBLICALLY, THERE ARE ONLY 2 KINDS OF PROPHETS: ‘TRUE PROPHETS and FALSE PROPHETS’!)

(Talmud, Tamid 32a): (AHebraic Nickname used for Prophets is: ‘ONE WHO SEE’)!

The Sages use of theword "re'eh" (SEES), in terms of this idea. "Who is wise? ‘ONEWHO SEES THE FUTURE". It is interesting that the Sages does not attributewisdom to ‘ONE WHO KNOWS THE FUTURE’. Instead, the word ‘SEE’ is used. Thisteaches us an important lesson. A person who has been warned of an event, butonly has knowledge of what will happen, may not change his behavior - but aperson who ‘REALIZES and SEES’, with an eye of wisdom, the potential outcome ofhis actions, may choose to act differently, as Moshe our teacher warns: ‘LookBeyond The Jordan and ‘SEE’ What Awaits You, and Don’t Let Your Rebellion andStiff-Neck Blind You To The Gifts and Blessings Of HaShem.’

(THE FALSE PROPHET):

Jesus warned Hisdisciples against ‘False prophets’. He said:

(Matthew 7:15):

“Beware of the falseprophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenouswolves”.

The Torah addressesthe problem of False prophets’ by establishing careful criteria for authentication.According to the Torah, a ‘Failed Prediction Disqualifies A Would-Be Prophet’:

(Deuteronomy 18:20-22):(‘HOW SHALL WE KNOW THE WORD WHICH THE LORD ‘HAS NOT SPOKEN’?)

“But the prophet whopresumes to speak a word in My name, which ‘I HAVE NOT COMMANDED HIM TO SPEAK,or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘HOW SHALLWE KNOW THE WORD WHICH THE LORD HAS NOT SPOKEN’? — 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of theLord, ‘IF THE THING DOES NOT ‘HAPPEN’ or COME TO PASS, that is the thing whichthe ‘LORD HAS NOT SPOKEN’; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shallnot be afraid of him.”.

Therefore, he is a ‘Falseprophet’, and liable to the death penalty: “That prophet shall die”(Deuteronomy 18:20). Even if the prediction ‘Does Come About’, and even if theprophet offers ‘Signs, Wonders, and Miracles’, he still might not be a trueprophet. If he entices God’s People into ‘IDOLATRY or TO TURN AWAY FROM THECOMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD’, ‘THE BIBLE DECLARES HIM A ‘FALSE PROPHET’, despiteall his miraculous proofs (Deuteronomy 13:4-5).

A Prophet is aspokesperson for God. A ‘Dreamer of Dreams" is another term for a Prophet.Prophets are often asked to verify their authenticity with a ‘Sign or Wonder.For example, Moses was given the signs of the staff, the leprous hand andturning water into blood in order to verify his message to Israel. Most peoplewho claim to be prophets are not prophets. Generally, this is Biblically andself-evident. A False prophet’ may predict something that ‘Fails To Come ToPass’, or produce a sign or wonder that fails to signify anything wondrous.According to Torah, such a prophet has "spoken presumptuously" anddeemed a ‘False prophet!'

Even if the ‘Would-BeProphet's’ sign or wonder Does Succeed and his Prediction Does Come To Pass’,he might still be a ‘False prophet’. ‘Signs and Wonders’ are ‘NOT THE FINALPROOF’. If the prophet attempts to leads you away "From The Way In WhichThe Lord Your God Commanded You To Walk," (13:5) you are to disregard him,and deem him: ‘As A False Prophet’. According to the passage in (Deuteronomy13:4): The way in which God commanded us to walk is ‘THE TORAH and HISCOMMANDMENTS’! In Deuteronomy, the passage also warns us that we must notlisten to such a prophet, ‘EVEN IF HIS MINISTRY COMES WITH AMAZING ‘SIGNS andWONDERS’! Instead, we are to "FOLLOW THE LORD...KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, andLISTEN TO HIS VOICE..." (Dt. 13:4)!
