The Patient First Coalition that Freedom Hub founder Jeff Kanter supports has adopted a few health reform goals. One of these goals entails repealing the prohibitions and restrictions on certain medicinal plants. While many in college have tripped on acid, mushrooms, and ayahuasca, all of these are now attracting significant research investment because of their powerful therapeutic effects. Ms. Walsh presented this topic at the recent Healthy America conference.

Through her Inner State botanicals biotech company, Ashley is seeking to bridge the gap between alternative and modern mental health approaches. Inner state focuses on research with the whole mushroom and its promising, wide-ranging effects on the psychological, neurological, immune, and endocrine systems, and she is especially focused on women’s health. Many noted clinicians and researchers today, including Dr. James Odell, director of
the Bioregulatory Medicine Institute, believe that mushrooms will play an increasingly bigger role in healing all kinds of mental and physical issues.

Ashley has worked in the cross-section of agriculture and health & wellness for over 15 years. She’s co-founder of Kimo Sabe Mezcal, an award-winning progressive mezcal company that partners with the Whole Planet Foundation. Ashley was featured in Harper´s Bazaar’s “Top 17 Ladies of the Liquor Industry”, Authority Magazine, Finance Digest, and Profiles of Agave Spirits V - Women of Agave. She’s also the author of several articles about the technology of intention in LA Bliss and Finding Yoga. Her work for women entrepreneurs was recognized by Comerica Bank´s Women´s Business Awards - Women Entrepreneurs award winners.
