Investigate Ilhan Omar To The Fullest Extent

Minnesota Congress woman Ilhan Omar claims she did not marry her brother. The New York Post reports Ilhan Omar says “The same people who chastise the progressive movement regularly traffic in anti-Muslim smears and hate speech against me and those I represent,” the Minnesota Democrat tweeted. “It’s almost as if they don’t genuinely care about online harassment.” An all too predictable defense, where the Democrats deflect criminal investigations with quasi threats of racism and Islamophobia. Yet offer no attempt to refute the accusations with facts.

The dust up began after the Daily Mail reported “Abdihakim Osman is the first person to go on record to speak of how Omar said she wanted to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States, at a time when she was married to her first husband Ahmed Hirsi.Omar’s marriages and extramarital affairs are confusing. Omar married her first husband Hirsi in 2002 in a religious ceremony in Minnesota that was not recognized legally. In 2009 she legally married the reportedly openly gay Elmi, suspected of being her brother in a secret Christian ceremony even though she is a Muslim. She later divorced Elmi. Remarried Hirsi legally only to divorce him a year later after having an affair with her congressional aid which lead to wrecking his marriage. Confused? I understand.Last year two FBI agents looked into the allegations, but rather than open a full blown investigation simply shared their findings with ICE and the Department of Education. Omar’s alleged brother had used his marital status to enroll in college.
As the New York Post reports”If Omar did marry her brother, she could be found guilty of committing marriage fraud — a felony offense punishable with a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to $250,000."
