Who Can Bring an Offering to the Lord? (James 4:8) says: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” Chapter One of The Book of Leviticus deals with the various types of burnt offerings and sacrifices. The oldest name for The Book of Leviticus is The Hebrew word: ‘Vayikra’, translated in English as: ‘And He (God) called’. It describes the Temple sacrifices, the functions of those who Minister, and the duties of all of God’s People. Therefore, far from being irrelevant to New Covenant Believers, Leviticus can bring deeper insight and Fresh Revelation that will enrich our Relationship with the Lord. Moreover, a failure to understand the Spiritual Principles that are behind The Blood Sacrifice and Substitutionary Atonement makes it Truly Difficult to understand the significance of Jesus’ death on the Roman Cross! The significance of Jesus’s shed Blood cannot fully impact our soul unless we come to understand The Biblical Ordnances of The Blood Covenant Sacrifices and Sin-Offerings found in Leviticus.
